Ideal Engagements, RISO Portfolio
Zach Clark of National Monument Press invited 15 traditional printmakers to explore the potential and relationships between traditional print mediums and RISOgraph print technology, for a new portfolio.
'emergent structure / wave weaving #1' layers video stills from light and water video recorded at the PLAYA Art & Science residency. Playing with the RISO printer's tendency to misalign layers, I explored the possibility of creating emergent moiré patterns within the edition.
PLAYA Art & Science Residency
March 2020
PLAYA | Summer Lake, OR
Three weeks of thinking about time, spatial awareness, dualities, the irrelevance of up and down, and how water & light can radically transform place.
So grateful to the program, for the program's support, and for the amazingly special cohort I shared the time with.

NY Art Book Fair 2015

September 2015
Printed Matter at MOMA PS1 | Long Island City, Queens
The 'staring at our sun' embossed moon collaboration with billy of 'improper printing' is the damn trickest letterpress registration and binding (over 20 feet long!) that I've ever had the annoying pleasure of attempting. But the results of billy's amazing book structure invention are so satisfying, surprising & worth every second/hour/day of it.

And if you're in NYC, come play with our artist book in person at Table #A37 in Printed Matter's NYABF Zine Tent.
